The real Simple CMS is a content and document management system thats works using either .NET, ColdFusionMX, Java or PHP. It is possible to swap between these languages without users even noticing the change. It is really simple or 'light weight' in the sense that it is easy to learn to use.
The Items page shows the site map as a collapsible tree that users expand to find the content they wish to edit. The tree below is just an example. You would name the branches of the tree.
The Drag and Drop page allows users to position a block of content on a page.
The Style page allows users to create and edit a style selector that determines the appearence of a block of content. The Colour page uses a colour picker and a colour blender to create a palette of colours that content providers can use when adding to a site. Try right clicking on a tree node.

Your site may use the established colours of a brand. If not, use the table above. The table has twelve rows. Think of the top six rows as colours between blue and green. Think of the bottom six rows as colours between red and yellow. If you are agonizing over this choice your web designer could choose the two or three colours that would become available to content providers. Is two or three enough? It is if you build a palette. Try clicking on a coloured square.
People adding content can only add one level of navigation and a maximum of four hundred content blocks. This way the site can grow without becoming unmanagable.
